For that race, we have added additional, more challenging obstacles. SavageJR runners are encouraged to pick the course that they are most comfortable with.  Even the youngest Savages can get dirty and join in on the fun. SavageJR will take place at 12:00 PM on Saturday.

  • Each SavageJR registration comes with one complementary spectator pass. This complementary spectator must check in with the JR at the JR check tent. All other spectators over the age of 12 must purchase a spectator pass

Savager Hunt

What is it? – During each event day, 3 small wooden axes will be hidden somewhere on the Savage Race course. Event participants are encouraged to keep an eye out and try to locate the hidden rewards.

What do I get? – Anyone who discovers an Axe can bring it to the Main Stage in the festival area to receive their reward. Rewards can only be redeemed onsite. They also get to keep the Axe!

Axe Rewards:

  • Red Axe: You’ve won a race entry!
  • White Axe: $50 Savage Merch Voucher
  • Blue Axe: $25 Savage Merch Voucher

What do the Axes look like? – At 6” tall, the Hunt Axes are a miniature of our awards for the first place overall finisher. Each Axe is painted either red, white, or blue, and coded with a unique serial number.

What are the rules? –

  • Savager Hunt is for Race/ Blitz participants only! Spectators are ineligible.
  • All 3 Axes will be hidden before the event, somewhere along the RACE course.
  • When you find an Axe, it must stay with you through the remainder of the course.
  • Axes are not required to complete obstacles with you. (don’t leave it behind!)
  • Axes must be brought to the stage upon completion of the course. (for reporting)
  • Axes will not be placed outside course tape boundaries.
  • Axes will not be within 100’ of the Start or Finish areas.

How do I know what Axes are still hidden? – As each Axe is found and reported to the stage, our emcee at the stage will keep track of how many are left, and report updates regularly.

What if no Axes get found? – If Axes still remain for too long, the stage emcee will begin giving hints on stage until each one is found. Our goal is for each Axe to go home with a lucky winner each event.

THANKS TO OUR RACE PARTNERS

We’ve been friends with the Savage Race team and partners for nearly a decade. We’ve crawled, climbed and jumped on the courses, and crushed beers together at the finish, and we’re proud to finally announce that all Savage Races in 2024 will have an official rucking division and that the GORUCK Mackall, built to endure the rigors of Special Forces Obstacle Courses, is the official footwear.

Rucking at Savage Race

The Rucking Division is meant to be a fun way to ruck the race course at Savage Race. There are no strict rules, like mandatory minimum weight. You get to decide how much weight to wear and you can take the rucks off for obstacles when we felt like it made sense.

We are excited to announce that Go Brewing is the official non-alcoholic beer partner for the 2024 Savage Race season!

Go Brewing makes non-alcoholic craft beer that tastes incredible. Order online and save 15% by using code Savage15.
