Savage Race is about teamwork, friendship, and community. It’s also about smiling and having a lot of fun. Make the most out of your Savage experience by completing it with your friends and family. We promise that it is the best that way. Speaking of community, why don’t you join our Savage Syndicate group on Facebook to connect with other runners?
Savage Syndicate is a loyalty program designed to reward participants who run in two or more events on the same day or within a single calendar year (this means between January 1 and December 31 of the same year). After you qualify, you can pick up your own Syndicate medal and pins (one for each race) onsite at your qualifying race. Learn more
Want to earn your Syndicate status on the same day? Just signup for the ‘Syndicate Pass’ option when you go to register. This will sign you up for both a Race and a Blitz on the same day and it includes the early start time upgrade!
We’ve been friends with the GORUCK team and partners for nearly a decade. We’ve crawled, climbed and jumped on the courses, and crushed beers together at the finish, and we’re proud to finally announce that all Savage Races in 2024 will have an official rucking division and that the GORUCK Mackall, built to endure the rigors of Special Forces Obstacle Courses, is the official footwear.
Rucking Division is not a Cadre-led event. In Rucking Division, you simply show up, have fun, and ruck the course with your friends and others from the GORUCK community. Rucking Division finishers earn a special patch in addition to their T-shirt and medal. Rucking Division event completions do count toward Savage Syndicate qualification.

I’ve done a Blitz before but this was my first race with the Savage Team! So challenging, so humbling, but the best feeling after crossing that line! Can’t wait for the next one!
It is unfortunate Savage doesn’t have the capital to expand their schedule, they could really hurt Spartan feelings. Best OCR out their, hands down.
I’ve raced the charlotte venue many times. Every year it brings the fun back into ocr. I will continue to be back year after year
I enjoy exercising and running but have not done any competitive athletics since high school. I’d certainly never done any sort of organized race or obstacle course, but at 33 years old, I was talked into the Savage Blitz in Charlotte by a group of friends. It was a GREAT decision, my team and I had a blast and I actually managed to place 3rd in my age group! The obstacles are really fun and more of a challenge than I’d expected, and the location was perfect for the event. Everyone we ran with was really just out to have a good time and it made the race that much better. We’ll definitely be back next year!
Well organized. Challenging course. Family friendly
