When Savage Race was born in 2011, we set six rules to define who we are and to set us apart from everyone else. To this day, we design our events with these rules as our guideposts.

  1. Savage Race is incredibly fun.
  2. We always have the best obstacles.
  3. It's about teamwork and friendship.
  4. Our community matters to us more than anything.
  5. We challenge beginners. We challenge experts.
  6. No one expects you to beat all the obstacles. It's normal to fail.

  • It was good, but there a lot of things to improve

    By Diego (2023-03-11, 17:50)

    Event location:

First time doing the SavageRace, I've done Tough Mudder, Spartan Race so I decided to try the other big one of the obstacle races world. I was a little disappointed with the SavageRace (comparing with the other ones). There are a lot of obstacles, I cannot deny it, but most of them are heavily focused in climbing strength, and they are really hard to be able to do it. It is possible to change the style of challenge, without being exclusively the relative strength physical capacity. Balance, jump, mazes are some exaples. It is important to point that the majority of the obstacles did not have anyone for the organization on site. This can be dangerous; it is important to have supervision if any accident happen the faster the treatment the better. If you guys don't have a lot of people to work, I suggest putting the obstacles closer to each other, so that way employees will be aware of what is happening easier. Another point that was really lacking was the Hydration stations. They weren't a lot, and the water was warm. Photos are big part of this event for a lot of people and to just have 3 photographers is disappointing. I hope things get better with suggestions.

I live a few miles from the race site, and have ran it the last 3 years. Including the blitz race this last year to earn my syndicate medal. Can't wait to run them again this year. Always a blast!!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Savage Race! Every year they put on the best event! New obstacles and challenges all the time, competitive prices, and amazing festival area! I also met the love of my life at Savage Race Chicago 2016, so they will always be my favorite!

  • Best race brand, great people

    By Dylan Edmundson ( 2019-01-25 , 17:00 )

    Event location:

I have done 10+ Savage races (Prowave, non-pro, Blitz) and every single one has been on par with the last. Every single race that I have completed with Savage has been better than any other race brand that I have ran in. Sam is one hell of a CEO and the teams that hold the races definitely know how to give each race the special treatment and really make each racer feel like they should be there on the course. If something goes unexpectedly, Sam is there to either correct the issue or apologize and make amends. I will forever continue racing with Savage. Plus, what you get out of the race compared to the cost is definitely better than most (if not all) other race brands.

  • Savage Race is the best

    By Jordan Grantham ( 2019-01-25 , 16:55 )

    Event location:

    Dade City

This was my first time doing the Savage race and blitz at the Florida fall 2018 location, and it was an amazing experience. I can't wait to do it again this year and gain another Savage syndicate. It was the best obstacle series I have ran. I loved all the obstacles and how they challenge you and how they pump you up for race is my favorite.

  • Great race, awesome volunteer experience

    By Michele Fisher ( 2019-01-25 , 16:46 )

Savage is awesome. It is challenging but fun no matter what format you run. This is the one race I volunteer for multiple times in a year. I love how they take care of volunteers and how easy it is to race same day!! I volunteer from 7-1:30 (ish) then hop in the dedicated volunteer wave! That’s it. No hassle at all. While spectators tend to head out before volunteers finish the race, everyone else is still around making sure the volunteers have the same experience as everyone else. Can’t wait to get back on course this year and volunteer!!! Thank you savage team!! You all rock!
