Nutt Smasher

Nutt Smasher may look easy, but don't let it fool you. Traversing 40 feet across a 3 inch wooden beam is no simple task.  There's a nice cold pool of water waiting for those who can't make it across this beast.  There are no hand holds on this one, so make sure you practice your balancing act before race day.  Completing Nutt Smasher will leave you feeling pumped!   Completion Rate: 65%

Colon Blow 5000

Colon Blow 5000 is a 24 inch in diameter tube that will truly test your fear of tight spaces.  Once you figure out how to maneuver up the 20 foot section, you have another one waiting for you to go back down.  Upper body strength is the key to conquering this obstacle.  It's all you'll have to work with.   Completion Rate: 70%

A unique take on your conventional 8 foot wall.  Barn Doors allow for a more timely scaling of the obstacle as hand and foot holds are easy to come by.  Scoot over this obstacle with ease, and be on your way. Watch out for splinters.   Completion Rate: 90%

Want an adrenaline rush? Davy Jones' Locker has you covered.  This 15 foot high dive into a 15 foot deep pool will have you so amped that you'll turn around and do it again.  Face your fears and take the plunge. Competent swimmers only.   Completion Rate: 55%

The muddiest, nastiest, smelliest, and sometimes friendliest obstacle Savage Race has to offer.  Crawl your way under 100 feet of barbed wire caked in the best mud you've ever encountered.  Grab a friend, because mud hugs are contagious.   Completion Rate: 97%

Swamp ass comes in many different shapes and sizes.  Depending on the venue, you'll be tromping through a rocky river or wading through mud as thick as your grandma's pudding.  Start high stepping your way through this murky obstacle.   Completion Rate: 88%

Maneuvering across these poles will really test your grip strength.  There is more than one way to complete Pipe Dreams, so pick your style and go for it.  Hang on tight, because the steel poles will be swaying back and forth the full 24 feet.  Find your rhythm and enjoy the ride.   Completion Rate: 54%

It will take 96 inches of determination, grit, and strength to conquer the 96 Inch Stiffie.  A running start always helps, but if you prefer a boost from your friends, that works just as well.  Get yourself over this obstacle and you're on your way to completing Savage Race.   Completion Rate: 55%

Colossus Slide

Once you've scaled the front side of Colossus, there's only one way down.  The Colossus Slide is a near vertical drop at the top of the 24 foot tall structure.  Feel gravity take over as you hit lightning speed while being flung into the water below.  No training needed for this one. Just enjoy the adrenaline rush!   Completion Rate: 88%

A little dirt and mud never hurt anyone, right? Get ready for some bruised knees and elbows, because there's razor-sharp barbed wire waiting above your head. Stay low and crawl like you mean it through this 50 foot long obstacle.   Completion Rate: 90%

This isn't your average heavy object carry.  Savages lug over a combined 2000 pounds of lumber throughout a race. Depending on the venue, you'll be sloshing through swamps, trudging through mud, or laboring up mountain sides for 1000 feet. Don't forget, badasses grab two!   Completion Rate: 80%

A simple, yet challenging obstacle, Missionary Impossible will leave you wet and invigorated.  Get on your back and start tugging the rope to fly up the 60 foot hill as fast as possible.  A little easier than a pull-up but a lot more fun!   Completion Rate: 99%

With a small break needed to break up the running, Prairie Dog will have you on your knees.  Hands and knees, that is. This double low crawl into mud and semi darkness will unleash your inner beast.  Welcome to the wild side.   Completion Rate: 95%

Sawtooth

Sawtooth is one of Savage Race's signature obstacles.  You can't miss this blue mammoth with it's unique design.  The gnarly tooth in the center of the structure has diminished the hopes and dreams of many Savages as they drop 10 feet into the water below. You'll need to start working on those pull-ups to cross the entire 35 foot span.   Completion Rate: 20%

With 60,000 pounds of ice, Shriveled Richard is no joke. The bone chilling experience will take your breath away as soon as you dive in. It's no time to be timid.  To add to the experience, you have to completely submerge yourself halfway through the obstacle.  It's time to start taking cold showers.   Completion Rate: 70%

Slippery Incline Wall

Slippery Incline Wall can be intimidating when you first come up to it on the course.  Get a running start on this 16 foot long, 12 foot high incline or else you'll be out of luck getting the conveniently placed rope.  Occasionally, we'll throw some water onto the ascent to make it more of a challenge.  With a firm footing, you'll have no problem getting up this bad boy.   Completion Rate: 65%

Big Ass Cargo Net is propped up to 20 feet in the air, so don't get tangled in the gnarly mesh. Get ready for a great view at the top of this structure.  The hardest part is coming down.   Completion Rate: 80%

The tastiest obstacle in the game, Thor's Grundle will leave you covered in mud.  Who knew a 50 foot trench filled with mud could be so intense.  Take a deep breath before you are completely submerged in the muck going under one of the baffles. You'll thank us later!   Completion Rate: 90%

Me So Thorny is the tightest barbed wire crawl you will ever encounter. With barbed wire on top and to the left and right of you, there is very little room for error on this obstacle.  Using your upper body strength, you will need to crawl with care.   Completion Rate: 77%

Located on the beautiful Little Everglades Ranch, the Savage Race is an intense 6-7 mile obstacle run with 25 world class obstacles, mud, fire, and barbed wire. Completion requires teamwork, courage, and the will to push your limits farther than you ever have before. Run individually or create a team!

Curious to see what all the hype is about but just not quite sure you are ready to tackle some of the world’s best obstacles? Sign up as a spectator and you’ll receive an all access pass to explore the course. Get up close and personal with all the obstacles without risking the the muddy consequences!

Each spectator gets a full color course map complete with photos of all of the obstacles to help you navigate the course. Use this to get to the best obstacles in time to take the perfect picture or simply show your support. Spectator passes are also ideal for independent photographers, bloggers and journalist. We guarantee once you witness one of our courses first hand, you’ll be eager to sign up as an official Savage Race runner next time around!

Spectator passes are $15 online until the Friday before the event, and $25 onsite.

THE BEST WAY TO EXPERIENCE SAVAGE RACE

Savage Race is more fun when you run with your friends, gym, or co-workers. There is no limit to the size of your team, so don’t be shy, invite everyone you think is ready for the time of their life. You’ll be glad you did once you come face-to-face with Colossus!

Not all team members need to register at the exact same time. After a team is created, anyone can join later, so be sure you lock in your team ASAP. The earlier you register, the more likely your team will get your requested start time. Even if waves are full, we will ensure you don’t get separated from your teammates.

Where kids are
encouraged to run wild.

Even the kids can join in on the Savage Race action! The Savage Junior Race is a great way to get the kids involved in the day’s festivities and provide an adventurous memory they won’t soon forget. The race will feature 10-12 junior obstacles laid out on a challenging 1/2 mile course.

Each Savage Junior will receive an official Savage Race finisher medal, a T-shirt, a race bib and a huge smile!
