The race is as you advertise it: it is a community event. So many people cheered me on, helped me, and were there to encourage me. This was my first race. I really enjoyed everything about it. I want to get stronger to complete more obstacles next year.

I just wanted to say that my rating of the obstacles was not based on my completing them. I was able to complete 15 of the 25, so I was pleased with that. All of the obstacles were challenging in their own way, so it is not a criticism of any of them. My husband loved them all as well.

Chicago 2024, better than expected

The Chicagoland event held at Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove on Saturday, July 20th was not only my first SavageRace, but it was also my first obstacle race period. And it couldn't have gone better. Expecting there to be some level of chaos and disorganzation, my wife and I arrived a little over 1hr15m before my start time. From the second we reached the entrance to the parking lines to when we left, everything was EXTREMELY coordinated, planned, and organized. From getting parked to checked in and then to the warm/vendor area it was a stress-free breeze! Everything was well marked, including the path out to the spectator area which my wife greatly appreciated, to the course. The obstacles were challenging but not impossible and I enjoyed that it was not a problem that I was there by myself. Race participants and well as all the workers were positive and helpful. Thank you for putting on such a great event. I'm heading over to get signed up for the June 28th 2025 event now!

The volunteers were super supportive. If you fell off an obstacle, they encouraged you to try again.

Great experience and I will be trying to get some more of my work colleagues to do run with me. My small group already said the five us will be back for 2026 and we look to bring a few more people with us 🙂

I love seeing the race photos and having the candid pics of myself and my friends/family that I run with! It’s so fun to see them.

The event is at a great location. There aren’t too many steep hills to navigate. I loved that even though I did the race at the same location two different times in a row, the course and obstacles were different.

I have run two Savage Races, both in Kennedyville, Maryland and have loved both experiences. Just the right amount of mud, great mix of easy and challenging obstacles. My 6 year old son did the Savage Jr this year and absolutely loved it! He can’t wait to do it again. I love that you have a kid’s event to help promote physical exercise.

Charlotte 2024 was a blast!

I enjoy exercising and running but have not done any competitive athletics since high school. I'd certainly never done any sort of organized race or obstacle course, but at 33 years old, I was talked into the Savage Blitz in Charlotte by a group of friends. It was a GREAT decision, my team and I had a blast and I actually managed to place 3rd in my age group! The obstacles are really fun and more of a challenge than I'd expected, and the location was perfect for the event. Everyone we ran with was really just out to have a good time and it made the race that much better. We'll definitely be back next year!

I like the challenge of the obstacles. I am 61 years old. I failed on 2 obstacles. I train daily with enthusiasm looking forward to next race.

Nothing. You guys did great. Compliments to all involved. I like that the course gets mixed up from one event to the next.

I love Savage Race. You guys deliver a great product. Since you asked, I feel a bit frustrated by Voulez vous lache. Can’t complete because I’m elderly and can’t fly through the air on the last bar. Gibbon Take I’m 2/5. The Savage Rig is doable, but I failed. 0/2.

The race was very well organized, i liked the new route! Especially when doing both (Race and Blitz), it was the perfect amount. Maybe the back end of the course was too much upper body back to back to back, but it is understandable given the obstacles we want Blitz folks to enjoy as well. I definitely enjoyed it, it was my first time doing both Race and Blitz, and will definitely do it again next year! Missed the big slide though, maybe bring it back! Awesome job by the volunteers, organizers and everyone involved.
