When Savage Race was born in 2011, we set six rules to define who we are and to set us apart from everyone else. To this day, we design our events with these rules as our guideposts.

  1. Savage Race is incredibly fun.
  2. We always have the best obstacles.
  3. It's about teamwork and friendship.
  4. Our community matters to us more than anything.
  5. We challenge beginners. We challenge experts.
  6. No one expects you to beat all the obstacles. It's normal to fail.

Savage Race Participant Reviews

  • ...And many more to come!

    By Josh ( 2019-01-25 , 17:44 )

    Event location:

    Florida Savage Race

This was my 6th or 7th Savage Race. The race is always well organized and they innovate each year adding fresh obstacles. One of the best in the industry, highly recommended!

  • Savage FL

    By Jared Franklin ( 2019-01-25 , 17:40 )

    Event location:

    Florida Savage Race Spring 2016

Savage FL is at one of my favorite venues in Florida. New course layout was solid. The only negative was the traverse wall, and the grips that were on it. Looked like they had foot pegs at the top and the lanes were uneven. So if you happened to pick the "right" lane then it was simple and if you didnt then you were waiting for longer than you should have. I did like the new obstacles and they always have their staple obstacles that we are all used to seeing. Savage puts on the best festival as well, with beer and food options.

  • Maryland Fall 2018

    By Kari Jackson ( 2019-01-25 , 17:38 )

    Event location:

The feeling of accomplishment felt when crossing that finish line is incomparable to any event in my life. The willingness of other participants to lend a helping hand or a boost when needed will surprise you. At the starting line I was terrified, the whole race I complained and at the finish line I couldn't wait to do it again. I even have a cute little scar on my elbow to show off.

  • Do this race!

    By Brian H. ( 2019-01-25 , 17:36 )

    Event location:

    Georgia Savage Race Fall 2016

Over the last year and a half, I've done 15-20 OCRs run by a half dozen or so organizations. Savage Race is by far my favorite. Their events are well organized, challenging, and more fun than should be allowed by law. If for some reason I could only do 1 OCR a year, hands down it would be Savage Race. Sam Abbitt and the team always bring their A game and provide a wonderful experience for not only seasoned racers but newbies as well. My son has also done the Savage Jr race and had a great time. It's really a great experience for the entire family. Don't think about it, just do it. You won't be sorry.

  • A great experience

    By Richard West ( 2019-01-25 , 17:35 )

    Event location:

    Georgia and Houston

I found Savage by chance a few years back when looking for something longer than a 5k course. Signed up, made the trip to Georgia from Mississippi and it was worth it! The obstacles are the best, the course is challenging and I enjoy every minute of it. I'm proud to be a Syndicate member and look forward to every event

  • Can't miss it!

    By Delmont Littlefield ( 2019-01-25 , 17:27 )

    Event location:

    Florida Savage Race Spring 2016

My favorite event. I never miss a Savage in Florida.

  • They call it Savage because it destroys the competition!

    By Dan Tarantula ( 2019-01-25 , 17:19 )

    Event location:

    MD and PA 2018

Hands down the best OCR I've done! Not only are the obstacles unique and challenging. The price is reasonable and events are run smoothly!

  • Savage runner since 2016

I cannot say enough amazing things about Savage Race! Every year they put on the best event! New obstacles and challenges all the time, competitive prices, and amazing festival area! I also met the love of my life at Savage Race Chicago 2016, so they will always be my favorite!
